F1 Live F1 Replay F1 Standings

The Netflix ‘Drive to Survive’ documentary has been renewed for a second series which will follow the 2019 Formula 1 season and include involvement from all 10 teams. The groundbreaking fly-on-the-wall documentary series’ first season, which charted the 2018 F1 season, proved popular among fans with its behind-the-scenes access and new insights into the sport throughout the initial 10-episode series which was broadcast earlier this year.Key storylines focused on the politics of the split between Renault and Red Bull, Daniel Ricciardo’s shock switch to Renault, and Carlos Sainz Jr’s preparations for the Spanish Grand Prix, while Haas F1 team principal’s Guenther Steiner’s expletive-ridden outbursts proved entertaining. The story of the 2018 title fight was largely glossed over given the notable absence of F1’s top two teams Mercedes and Ferrari, both of whom refused to take part in filming, though both teams have opted to be involved in the second season, which will air in 2020.“We are thrilled to once again be working with Netflix on the second series of Drive to Survive,” said F1 director of media rights, Ian Holmes.“It is a truly unique series which allows fans to see the unseen side of F1, showcasing the personalities and emotions each team and driver goes through, both on and off the grid.“Drive to Survive has enabled us to reach a entire new fanbase globally and partnering with Netflix for a second season ensures we are continuing to put fans at the heart of what we do, making the sport more open and accessible to all.”
