The Aragon MotoGP race will start one hour earlier than originally scheduled to avoid a direct clash with the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix. The final race in Europe before MotoGP heads to the Asia flyway rounds will see the premier class race begin at 13:00 local time, one hour earlier than usual, with the Moto2 race delayed until after MotoGP.The move ensures MotoGP does not directly clash with F1, which is racing in Singapore but sticks to a European time schedule due to its night running, meaning both races would have been on at the same time on Sunday 22nd September. The rest of the Aragon MotoGP weekend remains unchanged including all of Friday practice plus Saturday’s practice and qualifying.Sunday’s Aragon MotoGP race schedule (all local time):11:00 – Moto313:00 – MotoGP14:30 – Moto2The race schedule switch was recently used at the British round to ensure the premier class race started in its usual TV slot of 14:00 in mainland Europe (13:00 UK time). That saw the MotoGP race at Silverstone take place immediately after Moto3 with Moto2 run last on the schedule. The F1 Singapore Grand Prix starts at 14:10 in mainland Europe (13:10 UK time) meaning MotoGP and F1 would have had a direct clash. Recently the two series have attempted to avoid clashes to avoid creating direct competition for TV viewers.Aragon hosts round 14 of the 2019 MotoGP world championship on 20-22 September.”4
