World championship leader Quartararo overcomes a nasty morning fall and checks in the Medical Centre to set pole position for the Aragon MotoGP, ahead of fellow Yamaha rider Vinales and Honda’s Crutchlow.
The Espargaro brothers collided at the end of Qualifying 2, with Pol hitting the back of Aleix. Both remained on board, but Pol’s KTM suffered a broken wing and Aleix limped away from his Aprilia in the pits.

Ducati title contender Dovizioso was furious after being unable to advance beyond Qualifying 1, having towed team-mate Petrucci to a better time on two occasions, then being bumped to third place by the Pramac bike of Miller.

Valentino Rossi has been forced to miss this weekend’s event after a positive Covid test on Thursday. The Italian is also expected to miss next weekend’s second Aragon round.
HRC test rider Bradl is again replacing injured reigning world champion Marc Marquez.
