The Finn trails Hamilton by 63 points in the drivers’ standings and could be in for a tough afternoon as he looks to prevent Hamilton from extending his advantage in the title race. A third consecutive victory for Leclerc – after out-qualifying Vettel at each of the the past eight rounds – will go a long way in further cementing his position as Ferrari’s new star, with the German still enduring a 22-race streak without victory. He would pull clear of Vettel in the standings and edge himself closer to the runaway Mercedes duo. Lights out for the 2019 F1 Singapore Grand Prix will occur at 2010 hours local time and 1310 in the United Kingdom (BST).
