Ferrari president John Elkann has denied the Formula 1 team is undergoing an “overhaul” to its management structure and has reiterated his support for CEO Louis C. Camilleri.

Following the recent departure of Maurizio Arrivabene and subsequent promotion of former technical chief Mattia Binotto as Ferrari’s new team principal, suggestions have been made that more major changes could follow.

Reports have linked current Lamborghini head Stefano Domenicali with a potential return to Ferrari in 2019 amid speculation surrounding the future of Camilleri, who took over as CEO at Maranello following the death of Sergio Marchionne last year.

But in a letter published in Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport on Wednesday, Elkann moved to clarify the situation and firmly denied the rumours.

“I deny all rumours about both a possible return to the past and changes in our structure,” Elkann said.

“My commitment to ensuring stability and concentration at Ferrari is total as is that of CEO Louis Camilleri.

“The appointment of Mattia Binotto does not represent any overhaul.”
