Fraser Rogers is set to make his Moto2 World Championship debut at the Portuguese Grand Prix this weekend, deputising for Barry Baltus in the NTS RW Racing GP team.Rogers will replace Baltus due to the Belgian rider’s fractured left wrist injury he suffered at the opening round in Qatar. Rogers will compete full-time in the Pirelli National Superstock series in 2021, but also has World Supersport and British Superbike experience. In addition, Rogers has participated in the Red Bull Rookies Cup and Moto3, with his lone appearance coming in 2012 at Silverstone. With that said, this will be the biggest opportunity of the 25 year-old’s career as he gets set to compete in what he called the ‘coming races’. It remains to be seen how long the British rider will deputise for Baltus, but speaking ahead of his debut, Rogers said: “Thank you to the whole RW Racing NTS Moto2 team for giving me this opportunity.
