MotoGP’s FIM Medical Officer Giancarlo di Filippo has given an update on the condition of Moto3 rider Jason Dupasquier, who was airlifted to hospital after a multi-bike accident at the end of qualifying at Mugello.The Swiss rider fell on the exit of Turn 9, with the following Ayumu Sasaki and then Jeremy Alcoba caught up in the aftermath.Sasaki was launched high into the air, but it was soon clear that Dupasquier was the most badly injured. The 20-year-old PruestelGP rider underwent lengthy medical treatment by trackside doctors, suggesting he may have been stuck by at least one of the following riders.A medical helicopter was subsequently called in, which landed at the scene of the accident before taking Dupasquier directly to a hospital in Florence.”Rider #50 Jason Dupasquier was involved in a very serious in Qualifying 2 of Moto3,” said di Filippo.”The FIM Medical Intervention team arrived immediately at the site of the accident.
