Jerez MotoGP test times – Wednesday (FINAL)

The opening day of the final 2018 MotoGP test took place at Jerez on Wednesday.

Cal Crutchlow (injured) and Aleix Espargaro (sickness) are the only 2019 race riders not present, while Bradley Smith (Aprilia), Sylvain Guintoli (Suzuki) and Alvaro Bautista (Ducati) are on track as test riders.

Testing, which took place from 9:30am to 5:30pm, concludes at the Spanish Grand Prix venue on Thursday evening.

Wednesday’s testing was interrupted by red-flags at 1pm after an accident for Mir, who was taken to the medical centre for checks after a fast Turn 7 accident. The Suzuki rookie later returned to the track.

New factory Ducati team rider Petrucci set the fastest time at the start of the final hour, with team-mate Dovizioso then slotting into second place just before suffering a late fall.
