Hafizh Syahrin says he is still targeting a return to action for this weekend’s Styrian Moto2 race after miraculously avoiding serious injury in a huge accident during the Moto2 race at the Red Bull Ring.Check out the MotoGP YouTube channel – CLICK HERESyahrin was launched from his Aspar Speed Up when he collided with the stricken bike of Enea Bastianini, which had ed further up the road leaving his Italtrans machine resting on the racing line at the exit of Turn 1.While the riders ahead of Syahrin were able to avoid the machine, the Malaysian racer was caught unsighted behind two bikes directly ahead, leaving him with nowhere to go by directly into it.Scattering debris across the track, Syahrin was launched from his Aspar bike but fortunately avoided by the following pack.Tended to by medical teams immediately before being transferred to the medical centre, despite the severity of the collision, the ex-MotoGP rider remained conscious at all times with initial tests taken in the medical centre revealing he’d escaped major injury.A trip to hospital subsequently confirmed he had suffered no fractures, to the extent that Syahrin – who competed with Tech 3 Racing in MotoGP for two seasons – is already looking to get back out on track for this weekend’s second Red Bull Ring race, the Styrian MotoGP.“I feel good, lucky after the because I haven’t broken anything. It was a nasty . I feel pain in my legs, near my groin, as if my leg was broken, but we have confirmed that there are no fractures. I’m going to try to recover to see if I can race next week.”
