Petronas Sprinta Racing has announced it has signed Darryn Binder for the 2021 Moto3 World Championship as it looks to maintain the momentum of its current title bid with John McPhee.Check out the MotoGP YouTube channel – CLICK HEREBrother of MotoGP race winner Brad Binder, 22-year old Darryn made his Moto3 debut in 2015 and has firmly established himself as a front runner this year with the CIP Green Power outfit even if he is so far just shy of his career best podium-winning results of 2018 and 2019.The move to Petronas Sprinta Racing will see Binder break away from KTM machinery for the first time since 2016 in favour of the Honda NSF250RW used by the Malaysian outfit.  “I’m really happy to be joining PETRONAS Sprinta Racing for next season,” Binder said. “ I was super excited when the opportunity came and I think we have big potential together and a great package to work with. I feel like we can do a really good job together and can have a bright future. “Personally, I think that this is the best opportunity to make the last step up to continually be at the top of the standings. Our target will be to fight for the top positions at every race.”The announcement comes as Petronas Sprinta Racing celebrated its first Moto3 win of the season last time out in Misano with McPhee, a result that moved him just 14 points shy of the overall lead. With the Scot being tipped for a move to Moto2 in 2021, Petronas Sprint Racing team principal Johan Stigefelt was delighted to be welcoming Binder on board.“I’m really pleased that we have signed Darryn for next year. We have seen that he is an aggressive, talented and good rider, especially on the race day. “This is the kind of guy that you want to work with, who wants to take the next step in his career, and the type of rider who you want in your team who can challenge for the front. This will definitely be the target with him. “First he will need to adapt to the Honda and we want him to feel comfortable in the team, as we’ve done with other riders in the past. He’ll have a strong crew around him and I’m confident that we will be able to do something very good together.””4
