Third in the MotoGP world championship and two-time race winner in 2021 Jack Miller, is ‘excited’ by Ducatis potential heading into this weekend’s German GP. Ducati have had a less than stellar record in Germany – one win in 23 years at Sachsenring courtesy of Casey Stoner in 2008. But whereas circuits that matched up unfavourably in the past have halted championship challenges for Andrea Dovizioso most recently, the GP21 has already turned several tracks that were considered better for other manufacturers into strengths this year. Wins in Jerez and Le Mans, along with podiums at all but one race this season have shown the Ducati’s improvements, which is a great sign heading into the next two venues being Sachsenring and Assen. It’s fantastic on a Moto3 bike – one of the best I think, but on a MotoGP bike she’s a tight one,” said Miller “5”But it’s fun. It has its own unique character which is nice to have because many of the tracks we go to are quite similar to each other, so it’s nice to have something completely left-field, literally left. “I’m excited for the weekend. Last time we were here two years ago we didn’t do too bad. I think it was Dovi [Andrea Dovizioso], Danilo [Petrucci] and myself. “We had a nice little fight together. I think we were four, five and six, so it wasn’t too bad and I’m definitely excited to take the GP21 around here. I think it’s a better package and I think we’ll be quite surprised with how well the bike works here.””6
