Hafizh Syahrin and Khairul Idham Pawi were back on track at their local Sepang circuit yesterday, as guests of Zulfahmi Khairuddin’s ‘ZK Racing’ SIC Junior team. With their usual Speed Up Moto2 (Syahrin) and Honda Moto3 (Pawi) bikes unavailable, the pair – previously only able to train on kart tracks – were using the the ‘ZK’ Kawasaki machines.Malaysia progressed to the ‘recovery’ stage of its coronavirus plan yesterday, allowing sport and recreational activities (such as the track day), although sporting events are still banned. The borders also remain closed to non-Malaysians.The recovery phase will remain in place until August 31, after which a further easing of restrictions is expected should coronavirus cases continue to fall.Malaysia was due to hold its MotoGP at Sepang on November 1, but Dorna’s Carmelo Ezpeleta has now said that any flyaway races possible this season will be held after all of the European events, in a window from mid-November to mid-December.Sepang is one of four flyaway rounds not yet officially cancelled and, along with Buriram in Thailand, is seen as having the best chance of going ahead. However, Ezpeleta made clear neither will happen unless fans are allowed to attend, due to cost reasons.A revised calendar featuring the ‘final’ line-up of European circuits and dates – starting with Jerez in mid-July – is expected this week. A decision on any flyaways should be made by August.ZK-106.jpg accImages.createImage();Latest 2020 MotoGP Calendar (including free weekends)RoundDateRaceCircuit 8 MarchQatar (MotoGP cancelled)Losail 17 MayFrance (postponed)Le Mans 31 MayItaly (postponed)Mugello 7 JuneCatalunya (postponed)Barcelona 21 JuneGermany (cancelled)Sachsenring 28 JuneNetherlands (cancelled)Assen 12 JulyFinland (cancelled)KymiRing 30 AugustGreat Britain (cancelled)Silverstone 25 OctoberAustralia (cancelled)Phillip Island 18 OctoberJapan (cancelled)Motegi 15 JulyOfficial Test (proposed)Jerez119 JulySpain (proposed)Jerez (rescheduled)226 JulyAndalusia (proposed)Jerez  2 August  39 AugustCzech RepublicBrno416 AugustAustriaRed Bull Ring 23 August   30 August   6 September  513 SeptemberSan MarinoMisano 20 September  627 SeptemberAragonAragon (rescheduled)74 OctoberThailand Buriram (rescheduled) 11 October   18 October   25 October  81 NovemberMalaysiaSepang 8 November  915 NovemberAmericasCOTA (rescheduled)1022 NovemberArgentinaTermas de Rio Hondo (rescheduled)1129 NovemberValenciaRicardo Tormo (rescheduled) 6 December   13 December Mid-December cut-off for races outside Europe
