Max Verstappen has conceded Red Bull is on the back foot going into qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix.Friday practice at the Hungaroring was disrupted by rain and cool conditions with the second practice session being heavily impacted by intermittent rain showers. The first session did remain dry with Verstappen ending FP1 in eighth place, 1.4s down on pace-setter Lewis Hamilton – who set his fastest time on the hard tyre while Verstappen was on the softs.Have you seen F1TV – Click here to get 25% off”Not so good,” Verstappen replied when asked how his Friday was. “Plenty to look into. Of course, [it was] a little bit of a shame it was raining in the second practice as otherwise, we could have had a look. So yeah, a lot of work to do.”When asked what specifically was the problem with his car, he responded: “Just balance, overall. We need to look at that.”Red Bull team-mate Alexander Albon also struggled for pace – ending FP1 down in 13th, three-tenths shy of Verstappen.Albon said there wasn’t just one area Red Bull was losing out in.”Just more unpredictability than anything else,’’ Albon added. “It’s not one corner, it’s not a big margin in a specific place it’s just bits everywhere. The car’s not quite what we want and we just need to do some work to find out what’s going on.”I think the weather has been hurting us a bit – just trying to understand the car a bit better. Obviously, FP1 wasn’t ideal and we couldn’t try anything for FP2. We will have to look through the data in a bit more detail tonight and see what we can come up with for tomorrow.”
