ZF Takes Its Place at Eurasia Rail Turkey

The fair, which will take place in the ninth year, hosts an average of 200 exhibitors and 12,000 visitors. It offers the most widely used products in the public and private sectors, rail and light rail systems in Turkey. We are delighted to participate in this fair, which holds the pulse of the sectoral development systems.

EcoMet for the future

With EcoMet, ZF brings together many years of experience in the field of railway vehicles and sets new standards for metro transmissions. EcoMet is the new gearbox for metro applications operating at a maximum speed of 100 km / h. Thanks to its stylish and compact design, EcoMet offers a robust and economical drive, which does not require extra room for installation and is optimized for quiet operation.

Get2 Rail Drive Concept

At the Eurasia Rail fair, the ZF Get2 Rail Drive Concept will be shown next to the new smart technologies. The Get2 Rail Drive Concept was designed to have more gears and less consumption in mind. The electric motor and gearbox work in a compatible manner to ensure efficiency and optimization. This saves up to 5% energy at the same power level.

Talking about ZF’s participation in the fair, ZF Services Turk’s MD Selim Aydınlıoğlu said “We are attending this fair for the third time and we are very pleased. Considering the rapidly developing railway, metro and light rail infrastructure investments in our country, we see an important growth opportunity for us in this field. Mr. Aydınlıoğlu continued “We are currently developing plans to strengthen our presence in both sales and after-sales services in order to increase ZF’s market share.”

Expressing how pleased he is to be visiting İzmir with this occasion, ZF Rail Systems Senior Sales Manager Tobias Hoffmann said “Turkey is an important market for us. Fast-moving investments attract our attention. We are working on how to increase our presence in the market. We also believe that we will make a difference in the market with our new technologies.”

ZF’s new intelligent technologies will provide greater efficiency and security

Following successful prototypes and pre-production applications, the integration of “Condition Monitoring” and “Smart Typeplate” into regular production will be the stars of the future. Graz Linien, the public transportation company of the city of Graz in Austria, will take the first step in the spring of 2019 by installing both smart systems into their light rail lines. With ZF’s new smart technologies, Graz Linien aims to increase efficiency and security.

Comprehensive monitoring system of the future

The intelligent status monitoring system [email protected] shows how integrated sensors and advanced data analysis tools can further improve efficiency and safety in rail transport. Various sensors developed for ZF rail systems; records vibrations, oil quality and temperature trends. The data collected by a digital platform developed by ZF is reliably transmitted to ZF Cloud. Operators can access data through a computer or mobile device to view the analyzes and recommended action plans that were collected in ZF Cloud.

Since September 2017, ZF has been testing the “Smart Typeplate” system in collaboration with Freiburger Verkehrs AG. ZF uses a cloud-to-cloud solution to monitor the most important components of power train and infrastructure. Visitors to the ZF stand at the Eurasia Rail 2019 will be able to see the applications of smart technologies more closely on the interactive screen.
