Following Sunday’s San Marino MotoGP, teams and riders returned to Misano for the final Official in-season test of the 2025 season.

Much attention is focussed on how the new Yamaha V4 performs in the hands of race riders Fabio Quartararo, Alex Rins and Jack Miller.

Quartararo, who gave a sobering verdict after his initial runs, was expected to get a full day on the V4. Miller, who began on the other V4 this morning, was more complimentary before handing the bike over to Rins.

Meanwhile, Ducati had its last big chance to try and find a solution to Francesco Bagnaia’s corner entry woes this season.

Sky Italia reported ‘the goal appears to be to bring his bike as close as possible to the GP24. The engine obviously remains the 2025 one, but with some components from last year, they’re trying to get it as close as possible to the feel of the past.’

The morning session, led by Gresini Ducati’s Alex Marquez, took place from 9am to 12:45pm. 

The afternoon session ran from 2pm-6pm and saw Red Bull KTM’s Pedro Acosta set the fastest time of the day, while mainly working on set-up, 0.387s ahead of a surprise second by Raul Fernandez.

Fernandez’s Trackhouse Aprilia team-mate Ai Ogura was not testing after injuring his hand in a heavy race accident on Sunday. Joan Mir, who missed Saturday with neck pain, was also absent.

The next Official test will be after the Valencia season finale, in mid-November. Meanwhile, the five MotoGP factories will remain at Misano for their debut outing on Pirelli tyres, with test riders only, on Tuesday…
