Fransa GP: Hamilton arka arkaya dördüncü kez kazandı, Mercedes duble yaptı

2019 Fransa Yarış oldukça sıcak şartlarda gerçekleştirilirken, startta önemli bir olay yaşanmadı. Lewis Hamilton iyi bir ivme ile ilk virajı lider dönerken, Valtteri Bottas, Charles Leclerc ve Max Verstappen ilk dört sıradaki yerlerini korudular. Sebastian Vettel yedinci başladığı yarışta ilk turda önündeki McLaren sürücülerini geçerek beşinciliğe yükselmeyi başardı. Öndeki sürücüler arasında en erken pit stop yapan isim Max Verstappen olurken, sonrasında Charles Leclerc pite girdi. Mercedes 23. turda Valtteri Bottas’ı, 24. turda ise Lewis Hamilton’ı pite aldı. Pit stopların ardından sıralama değişmezken, Vettel de bir tur sonra pite girdi. Vettel birkaç tur sonra pite girerken, ilk beşte herhangi bir değişiklik olmadı. Kalan turlarda Hamilton çok rahattı ve damalı bayrağı takım arkadaşının önünde ilk sırada görerek arka arkaya dördüncü zaferini elde etti. Bu, Hamilton’ın bu yılki altıncı zaferi olurken, kariyerinin 79. zaferini elde etti. Bottas ikinci sıradan başladığı yarışta takım arkadaşıyla aynı tempoyu göstermekte zorlandı ve özellikle sert lastiklere geçmesinin ardından Hamilton’la teması tamamen kaybetti. Son bölümde Leclerc’in baskısına rağmen damalı bayrağı ikinci sırada gören Bottas, Mercedes’e dubleyi getirmiş oldu. Ferrari’de Charles Leclerc üçüncü başladığı yarışta Lewis Hamilton’la aynı tempoyu tutturamasa da, ikinci bölümde Bottas’ı sıkıştırdı. Buna rağmen rakibini geçemeyince 0.929 saniye geride üçüncü sırada finiş gördü. Monakolu yarışçı kariyerinin üçüncü podyumunu elde etmiş oldu. Max Verstappen, Leclerc ile aynı tempoyu sergileyemediği yarışta Sebastian Vettel’in önünde kalmayı başardı ve dördüncü olarak bir kez daha ilk beş içerisinde finiş görmüş oldu. Vettel ise yedinci başladığı yarışta McLaren pilotlarını geride bıraktı ve son bölümde Verstappen’i geçemeyeceği kesinleşince en hızlı turu atabilmek adına pite girdi. Puan durumu Sonrasında yumuşak lastikle son bir tur attı ve onda da en hızlı turu kaydetti. Böylelikle beşinci tamamladığı yarışta fazladan bir puan almış oldu. McLaren pilotu Carlos Sainz, yedinci başladığı yarışta takım arkadaşını geçerek altıncı sırada finiş gördü ve İngiliz takım adına iyi bir sonuç elde etti. Son bölümde hidrolik sorunu yaşayan Lando Norris’i geçen Daniel Ricciardo yedinci olurken, Kimi Raikkonen uzun süre Nico Hulkenberg’e karşı savunma yapmak zorunda kaldı ve sonunda bunu başararak sekizinci oldu. Hulkenberg’in dokuzuncu olduğu yarışta günün pilotu seçilen Lando Norris onuncu oldu. Pierre Gasly kendisi adına sönük geçen hafta sonunda 1 tur geride 11. olabilirken, Racing Point sürücüleri Sergio Perez ve Lance Stroll 12. ve 13. oldular. Toro Rosso’dan Daniil Kvyat ve Alexander Albon puan barajının dışında kalıp ilk 15’i tamamlarken, Antonio Giovinazzi 16. ve Kevin Magnussen 17. oldu. Robert Kubica, Williams’la bu yılki en iyi yarışını çıkardı ve bu sezon ilk kez George Russell’ın önünde finiş gördü. Yarış dışı kalan tek isim bitime yedi tur kala pite gelerek yarışı bırakan Romain Grosjean oldu. Sezonun dokuzuncu yarışı 30 Haziran’da Avusturya’da yapılacak.
