Jason Dupasquier has died following Mugello Moto3 injuries

Jason Dupasquier has tragically passed away from injuries sustained in Saturday’s Moto3 qualifying accident at Mugello.The 19-year-old Swiss rider, competing in his second grand prix season, fell on the exit of Turn 9, with the following Ayumu Sasaki and Jeremy Alcoba caught up in the aftermath.After lengthy treatment by doctors at the scene of the accident, a medical helicopter arrived to take Dupasquier directly to a hospital in Florence. Sadly, his injuries proved too severe.A MotoGP statement, released immediately after Sunday’s Moto3 race, said:Following a serious incident in the Moto3 Qualifying 2 session at the Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley, it is with great sadness that we report the passing of Moto3 rider Jason Dupasquier.Dupasquier was involved in a multi-rider incident between Turns 9 and 10, with the session Red Flagged thereafter.
