Morbidelli sets the fastest lap time in Free Practice 3 for the Malaysian MotoGP, but Petronas Yamaha team-mate Quartararo’s record Friday time remains the best time of the weekend so far.
Occasional rain drops fell at the end of the session.
The top ten riders after FP3 (combined times) receive direct access to the second and final part of qualifying.
Tito Rabat is absent due to his hand injury from Motegi. Oliveira tried to return after wrist injuries at Phillip Island, but stopped after just four laps in FP1 and will miss the rest of the weekend.
Zarco is making the second of his three appearances for LCR Honda.
