Next year’s MotoE World Cup will again conclude at the Valencia MotoGP season finale, after a change to the provisional 2020 calendar.

Le Mans, dropped from this season after delays caused by the fire damage to bikes and equipment at the Jerez test, has now also been removed from next year’s schedule.

Valencia takes its place and, as this season, will be a double-header event (along with Misano).

The revised 2020 calendar thus features seven races at five different circuits, with Jerez and Assen hosting their first MotoE races.

Matteo Ferrari (TRENTINO Gresini MotoE) won this year’s inaugural MotoE World Cup by eleven points over Bradley Smith (One Energy Racing), with Eric Granado (Avintia Esponsorama Racing) rising to third overall after winning both races at this year’s Valencia finale.

All MotoE competitors will again use identical Energica machines in 2020.

The slim MotoE calendar, combined with 50-points at the season finale means next year’s championship battle is almost guaranteed to go down to the Valencia finale once again…
