Following a double launch by Mercedes and Alpine on Tuesday, Aston Martin will become the seventh team to reveal its latest challenger. You can watch the event below as Aston Martin unveils its first F1 car in 60 years following its winter rebrand from Racing Point. The new AM21 is an evolution of last year’s RP20 design that helped the Silverstone-based squad take fourth place in the constructors’ championship and claim its first-ever grand prix victory in 2020. It will be driven by four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel, who joins Aston Martin following his exit from Ferrari, and Lance Stroll. Following billionaire Canadian businessman Lawrence Stroll’s takeover, Aston Martin has outlined lofty targets to become a world championship-winning side in the future and believes the high-profile signing of Vettel underlines its ambitions. For 2021, Aston Martin is looking to build on its 2020 progress and continue to challenge for regular podiums and potentially more victories as it looks to assert itself at the head of F1’s tightly-congested midfield pack.
