Quartararo was passed fit after his morning highside but missed FP2 due to the painkillers he was administered and is undergoing further treatment for a hematoma on his left ankle.
Marquez clipped slow-moving team-mate Lorenzo on his final lap, then made a ‘sleeping’ gesture at the #99 when they stopped for a practice start.

Zarco is making his MotoGP return this weekend for LCR Honda, in place of Nakagami, who is undergoing shoulder surgery. The Frenchman will ride the team’s 2018-spec RCV in the last three rounds of this season…. and was quicker than Lorenzo on day one.
A 20-minute tyre test will be held directly after FP2, to gather data for Michelin on its 2020 rubber.
