Di Giannantonio, who came close to a second MotoGP victory in a week, secured his move to Mooney VR46 following the Valencian grand prix on Sunday. The Italian has been one of the most in-form riders lately, which played a big role in him securing his future once it became clear that Moto2 hotshot Fermin Aldeguer would be staying in the intermediate class. It takes time because you have to learn. We wanted to stick to the plan and focus on the work we wanted to do. “Throughout the year the speed was increasing and the feeling with the bike was increasing. Results were coming and so was the confidence.”
