The deal is understood to be worth €50m (£40m), keeping him with the team for another six years. He will partner Sergio Perez for a further two seasons.Ferrari will have Charles Leclerc alongside Carlos Sainz in 2023. The chasing packFernando Alonso’s shock decision to leave Alpine for Aston Martin, filling the void left by the retiring Sebastian Vettel, sparked silly season. Alpine hoped Oscar Piastri would remain on their books but he instead signed a deal with McLaren, where he will replace Daniel Ricciardo.McLaren have Lando Norris tied down until 2025 and he will now be partnered by Piastri.Alpine eventually replaced Alonso with Pierre Gasly, who was allowed to leave Red Bull’s sister team AlphaTauri. Gasly will form an all-French partnership with Esteban Ocon.Yuki Tsunoda will stay for a third F1 season with AlphaTauri, where he will be joined by Nyck de Vries, who has replaced Gasly.  Who can make an impact?Lance Stroll’s continuation at Aston Martin, alongside Alonso, has been confirmed.Valtteri Bottas has security at Alfa Romeo with the Finn signed until the end of 2024, while Zhou Guanyu will be his teammate again in 2023 after having his contract renewed following a solid rookie campaign. Similarly, Kevin Magnussen has a multi-year deal following his shock return with Haas. Nico Hulkenberg has replaced Mick Schumacher.Williams have retained Alex Albon on a multi-year deal, but he will have a new teammate after the team confirmed Nicholas Latifi’s departure at the end of the season.
