Mercedes have George Russell tied down to a long-term deal, while seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton is contracted until the end of 2023.Outside of the big three, McLaren have Lando Norris tied down until 2025 but Daniel Ricciardo will leave the team prematurely.Related Monaco signs three-year extension to remain on F1 calendar until 2025 FIA announces record-breaking 24-race calendar for F1 2023Esteban Ocon will be with Alpine until 2024, but will have a new teammate because Fernando Alonso has departed to join Aston Martin.Alpine swiftly announced that their reserve driver Oscar Piastri would replace Alonso, only for Piastri to deny he has signed for the team, sparking a messy contractual tug-of-war. This tug-of-war was finally settled during the Dutch GP weekend, with McLaren coming out on top, announcing Piastri as their driver for 2023. Lance Stroll’s continuation at Aston Martin, alongside Alonso, has been formally confirmed.Valtteri Bottas has security at Alfa Romeo with the Finn signed until the end of 2024.Similarly, Kevin Magnussen has a multi-year deal following his shock return with Haas who also have Mick Schumacher.Williams have retained Albon on a multi-year deal, but the future of Nicholas Latifi is unclear.
