F1 Gossip: Ferrari driver clarifies 'misinterpreted' Binotto comments

By signing up to the newsletter you agree to receive emails from that may occasionally include promotional content Leave this field blank – Ferrari GT driver Josef Kral has retracted comments he made suggesting team boss Mattia Binotto was set to be replaced after this week’s pre-season test in Bahrain.Kral clarified his comments via Instagram after a number of less reputable websites ran the story because of his links to Ferrari.In the original video, the Czech driver believed Binotto’s position was under threat because of the Scuderia’s torrid 2020 campaign where it endured its worst season since 1980.The video with Kral’s claims has since been deleted leading him to clarify them on his Instagram account.On Saturday, he said: “Just to make it loud and clear… some of my recent comments about Scuderia Ferrari have been misinterpreted and taken out of context.“What I said was based on my own opinion and without any real base or information.
