Over 6,000 laps were completed across the two weeks of testing split between Barcelona and Bahrain, with several teams enduring contrasting fortunes across both tests as they looked to get on top of F1’s new-for-2022 cars. Here’s a run down of the all-important data from pre-season testing, including the fastest laps and mileage charts for each team.Mileage charts It was a very good pre-season for Ferrari, who enjoyed smooth and reliable running throughout on its way to completing the highest mileage of any team across the six days as Carlos Sainz racked up the most laps. At the other end of the spectrum, the Ferrari-powered Alfa Romeo and Haas each had tricky tests hampered by reliability gremlins. Both made encouraging progress in Bahrain, despite Haas missing the opening half day due to cargo delays. Related Completing F1 race distance Bottas’ “biggest concern” for Alfa Romeo Norris bemoans ‘not ideal’ Bahrain F1 test after brake issuesFollowing a strong first test, McLaren suffered a setback in Bahrain as brake issues compromised its running and prevented the team from completing any meaningly race simulations. Considering his absence from the entire second test due to illness and a positive COVID-19 test, it is no surprise to see Daniel Ricciardo languishing towards the bottom of the driver mileage charts. 3022757.0064.jpg The most laps completed per teamFerrari: 788Mercedes: 778AlphaTauri: 679Red Bull: 678Aston Martin: 635Williams: 605Alpine: 582McLaren: 567Alfa Romeo: 518Haas: 413 Related Verstappen still not at “full beans” despite topping final day of F1 testing 2022 F1 pre-season testing, Bahrain – Combined resultsThe most laps completed per driver Carlos Sainz: 416George Russell: 407Pierre Gasly: 381Charles Leclerc: 372Lewis Hamilton: 371Lando Norris: 355Max Verstappen: 345Sebastian Vettel: 340Sergio Perez: 333Alex Albon: 329Yuki Tsunoda: 298Esteban Ocon: 297Guanyu Zhou: 296Lance Stroll: 295Fernando Alonso: 285Nicholas Latifi: 276Valtteri Bottas: 213Daniel Ricciardo: 212Mick Schumacher: 197Kevin Magnussen: 98Nikita Mazepin: 71Pietro Fittipaldi: 47Robert Kubica: 9 The most laps completed per engine manufacturer Mercedes: 2,585Ferrari: 1,719Honda: 1,357Renault: 582Fastest laps 3023031.0064.jpg Mercedes led the timesheets in Barcelona but did not feature as highly in Bahrain as Red Bull finally teased the potential of its RB18 with reigning world champion Max Verstappen posting the benchmark lap to round out testing fastest. Haas also caught the eye by showing a turn of pace with the returning Kevin Magnussen topping the second day in Bahrain, before Mick Schumacher pumped in the second quickest time overall from the second test. “4Ferrari, McLaren, AlphaTauri and Alpine each headed at least one of the 12 test sessions. The top 10 from Barcelona 2022 Formula 1 Pre-Season testing, Barcelona – Combined ResultsPos Driver Nationality Team Best TimeTyreDay1Lewis HamiltonGBRMercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team1m19.138s C532George RussellGBRMercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team1m19.233sC533Sergio PerezMEXOracle Bull Racing1m19.556sC434Lando NorrisGBRMcLaren F1 Team1m19.568sC415Charles LeclercMONScuderia Ferrari1m19.689sC326Max VerstappenNEDOracle Red Bull Racing1m19.756sC337Sebastian VettelGERAston Martin Aramco Cognizant F1 Team1m19.824sC538Pierre GaslyFRAScuderia AlphaTauri1m19.918sC429Carlos SainzESPScuderia Ferrari1m20.072sC3310Daniel RicciardoAUSMcLaren F1 Team1m20.288sC42The top 10 from Bahrain 2022 Formula 1 Pre-Season testing, Bahrain – Combined ResultsPos Driver Nationality Team Best TimeTyreDay1Max VerstappenNEDOracle Red Bull Racing1m31.720sC532Mick SchumacherGERHaas F1 Team1m32.241sC433Charles LeclercMONScuderia Ferrari1m32.415sC434Fernando AlonsoESPBWT Alpine F1 Team1m32.698sC435George RussellGBRMercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team1m32.759sC536Valtteri BottasFINAlfa Romeo F1 Team Orlen1m32.985sC337Yuki TsunodaJPNScuderia AlphaTauri 1m33.002sC538Sergio PerezMEXOracle Bull Racing1m33.105sC439Lando NorrisGBRMcLaren F1 Team1m33.191sC3310Kevin MagnussenDANHaas F1 Team1m33.207sC42″5
