91 points down just two rounds ago, Bagnaia’s back-to-back wins have brought him back into MotoGP title contention after Quartararo and Aleix Espargaro also dropped points at both Assen and Silverstone. The Ducati rider, who is clearly the man to beat heading into this weekend, has a great chance of making it a hat-trick of wins given the Italian manufacturer’s stunning record at the Red Bull Ring. Although Bagnaia is yet to win in Austria, Ducati have taken six out of the last eight wins in Spielberg, while Yamaha and Aprilia have not won at all.  Despite his current run of form and Ducati’s impressive record in Austria, Bagnaia claims he ‘must stay focused’ and that the championship fight is not his priority at the moment.Bagnaia said: “At Silverstone we recovered several points in the overall standings, but for the moment, I don’t want to think about the championship. “I must stay focused, race by race, trying to get the best possible result. In the last GP, I got an unexpected victory, and I think it was one of the best of my career. Aleix Espargaro: ‘Some pain’ but foot fracture won’t be a problem”Now we come to Austria, on a track that historically has always been favourable to Ducati. We’ll have to see what it will be like now with the new chicane, but I’m convinced that the conditions are there for us to do well. I’m ready and excited to race at the Red Bull Ring again!”Related ArticlesMiller looking to ‘redeem’ himself after disastrous Austrian MotoGP in 2021Also in great form, Miller has a chance of claiming his third podium in four races this weekend, which would take his tally up to five on the season should such a result take place.  Miller, who secured a podium last time out at Silverstone, ed out of the Austrian MotoGP last season, before making an early call to swap dry tyres for wets during the Styrian Grand Prix a week later. Miller wasn’t alone in making that decision as Joan Mir was another rider who headed for pit lane just before the track reached the crossover period. It resulted in an 11th place finish for the Australian while the likes of Bagnaia and Jorge Martin timed it to perfection in order to claim a podium. “I’m happy to be racing in Austria again this weekend,” added Miller. “The Red Bull Ring is a track I like and where I have already finished on the podium in the past. “Last year we were unlucky with a in the first race and rain that caught us in the second. “My goal is to be able to redeem myself this year: we’re going through a positive moment, and my feeling with the GP22 is really good. I’m confident and determined to do well in this race as well.”
