Imola secures extended contract to host F1 until 2025

After a hiatus since the 2006 San Marino Grand Prix, the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari returned to the 2020 F1 calendar following major cancellations caused by the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Imola again staged the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix during the 2021 F1 world championship and has remained on the schedule for the upcoming 2022 season. On Monday, a new four-year contract extension was announced by F1 after signing a new deal with the race promoters. F1 president and CEO Stefano Domenicali said: “I am delighted that we will be continuing our excellent partnership with Imola for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix until 2025.
