Nicholas Latifi will feature for Force India in Free Practice 1 for the next three Formula 1 races as part of his ongoing development with the team.

Formula 2 racer Latifi has enjoyed links to Force India throughout 2018, working as a test and development driver, and has featured in FP1 sessions in Canada, Germany and Russia as well as the young driver tests in Spain and Hungary.

The Canadian driver will return to the cockpit of the Force India VJM11 at the United States Grand Prix this weekend, when he will step in for Esteban Ocon in FP1 at the Circuit of The Americas.

Latifi will once again deputise for Ocon in opening practice for the Mexican Grand Prix one week later, before getting his sixth FP1 appearance of the season in Brazil next month, when he will replace Sergio Perez.

Latifi has been racing in F2 and its predecessor, GP2, for the past three seasons, but is understood to be considering a move to North America for 2019.
