Lewis Hamilton goes ‘back to his roots’ with new F1 helmet design

 

 

 
The seven-time world champion revealed a vintage fluorescent yellow and purple design that has been inspired by the helmet he originally used at the start of his F1 career, as well as during his karting days. Hamilton has worn a purple and black helmet design for the past two seasons but explained he wanted to “show love to my beginnings” going into the new campaign, which begins this weekend with the Bahrain Grand Prix. “For this year’s helmet I wanted to show love to my beginnings,” Hamilton wrote on Twitter. “As much as I love purple and black, yellow is my history.
