Struggling with ongoing mobility and pain issues in his upper right arm, Marquez stepped back from the 2022 season following Mugello to undergo a fourth operation on the bone he initially broke in July 2020.Two weeks after that realignment procedure at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, which involved cutting and rotating the bone by over 30-degrees before fixing it in place, the Repsol Honda star visited the Ruber Internacional Hospital in Madrid to see his trusted medical team and Dr. Sanchez Sotelo from the Mayo Clinic.Given his previous issues, checking for any signs of infection is sure to have been high on the agenda.“Today I had a medical check in Madrid and the doctors are happy,” Marquez said. “My arm is immobilised, and it will be like this for the next few weeks.
