We straight away felt quite ok with the bike. This made the day easier than normal,” said Mir.”I’m happy, first day done. Let’s move to tomorrow and see what happens. Let’s try to qualify the best we can. We’ll try to focus on that 2nd row, or who knows? Let’s see.”  Related Quartararo maintains Portimao advantage over Bagnaia and Miller World Champion Quartararo tops Portimao FP1 from BagnaiaMir is desperately in need of a good performance after no top five finishes since Aragon. In fact, the last two rounds were so tough that he felt ‘mentally a bit collapsed’ and needed a full week off.Speaking about his recent struggles, Mir added: “It’s difficult. Pecco is doing a good end of season and is the strongest one at the moment. “It’ll be difficult. But if I can finish the season with two good results, I’ll be more confident.”
