Dorna has confirmed that the first positive Covid-19 case among a MotoGP paddock member was detected during this weekend’s Czech Republic Grand Prix at Brno.Check out the MotoGP YouTube channel – CLICK HEREThe individual is described as ‘a member of Dorna Sports’ team’ and is thought to have been working as a cameraman for French TV.Those in ‘secondary contact with the individual’ have returned a negative result. It is not clear if this extra testing also includes riders or team members filmed by the cameraman while being interviewed this weekend, but the few (TV) media currently allowed in the paddock are required to respect social distancing and use PPE while they work.The full statement can be seen below:’After more than 5,500 tests performed on all paddock personnel before their attendance to the Spanish, Andalucia and Czech GPs, one person in the FIM MotoGP World Championship paddock has tested positive for Covid-19.’The result was returned during testing undertaken ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix. The person is a member of Dorna Sports’ team and is asymptomatic.’Following the positive result that arrived early on Saturday, the person was immediately informed and isolated in their hotel.’A further test was then undertaken in order to confirm the result.
