New factory riders Jack Miller and Francesco Bagnaia made it a one-two for the Italian team ahead of Sunday’s first of two Grand Prix in the Doha desert.Both riders finished FP1 inside the top ten, but with FP2 being the best chance to set a lap time representative to what conditions will be like for qualifying and the race, the last 15 minutes became increasingly important. Bagnaia went to the top of the leaderboard with just over ten minutes remaining, but was eventually pipped by the Australian with three to go. Speaking after his first competiive day in the factory team, Bagnaia said: “I’m feeling good.
