Potentially a preview to how today’s race will take shape, Jorge Martin began MotoGP warm-up by closely following world champion Fabio Quartararo. Following a disastrous qualifying session, Marc Marquez came close to throwing his Repsol Honda down the road on just his third flying lap. Marquez, who ed twice during Q1, momentarily lost the rear coming out of turn ten which could have led to a massive highside. But thankfully for Marquez and his RC213V the eight-time world champion produced an impressive save. He was not so lucky the second time around… While Marquez was struggling to find his rhythm, fellow Honda rider Takaaki Nakagami had no such issues as he led the way.
