Racing Point, Silverstone’daki testi başarılı şekilde tamamladı

Bugün, Barcelona testlerinden bu yana ilk kez 2020 araçlarından bir tanesiyle özel bir test gerçekleştirilmiş oldu. Racing Point’in direksiyonuna geçen Lance Stroll, gün boyunca sorunsuz şekilde 100 kilometre tamamlamayı başardı. Kurallara göre her takım yılda iki gün 100 km’lik sürüş yapabiliyor ve Racing Point de bu haklarından bir tanesini kullanarak testi gerçekleştirdi. Bu sayede hem işe geri döndüler hem de pit yolu ve garajda koronavirüs protokolleriyle ilgili denemeler yaptılar. Hava durumuyla ilgili mevcut sorunlardan kaçınmak amacıyla takım, günün erken saatlerinde çalıştı ve bu sayede büyük bir fırtınaya da yakalanmamış oldular. 2020 aracıyla test yapması planlanan diğer takım AlphaTauri olacak. İtalya ekip, önümüzdeki hafta Imola’da bir çekim günü kapsamında 100 km mesafe tamamlayacak. Red Bull Racing’in de bir çekim günü bulunuyor ancak henüz bu konuda bir planlama yapmadılar. Öte yandan 2018 aracıyla test yapan Mercedes ve Renault, istedikleri kadar tur atma özgürlüğüne sahiplerdi. Dün Renault’da Daniel Ricciardo 115 tur atarken, bugün Esteban Occon 143 tur attı. Ferrari ise 2018 SF71H ile Fiorano’da iki günlük bir test yapacak ama tarihler henüz belirlenmedi.
