The Haas F1 Team has confirmed Romain Grosjean has been discharged from hospital three days after escaping a horrifying smash in the Bahrain Grand Prix with relatively minor injuries.Check out the F1 YouTube channel – CLICK HEREThe Frenchman ed at 137mph on lap one at the Sakhir International Circuit after a tangle with Daniil Kvyat, the Haas spearing into the barrier so hard it pierced the Armco, split the chassis in two and resulted in a huge fireball inferno.Despite the mammoth 53G registered force, Grosjean was able to extricate himself from the raging cockpit fire after almost 30secs. Remaining conscious throughout, remarkably Grosjean suffered only burns to the back of his hands, though he was retained in Manama hospital for three nights as a precaution.  Haas has now confirmed Grosjean has departed as of Wednesday morning and will return home to continue private treatment.“Haas F1 Team driver Romain Grosjean was discharged from the care of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Hospital at 10:30 a.m. local time Wednesday. Grosjean spent three nights in hospital following Sunday’s incident at the Bahrain Grand Prix. “Grosjean will continue private treatment for the burns suffered on the back of his hands and will remain in Bahrain for the time being. On behalf of Romain Grosjean and the entire Haas F1 Team we extend our thanks to all who have tended to him at the BDF Hospital.”The accident came in what is anticipated to be one of Grosjean’s final F1 races having been dropped from Haas’ 2021 F1 line-up in favour of F2 graduates Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher.Despite this, Grosjean says he is targeting a return to the cockpit for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix finale next week because he ‘doesn’t want to end it [his F1 career] that way’.He will be replaced by F1 debutant Pietro Fittipaldi for this weekend’s Sakhir Grand Prix.
