Williams has successfully fired up its 2020 Formula 1 car ahead of pre-season testing as it looks to recover from a tough campaign last year.The British squad missed the opening two-and-a-half days of pre-season testing 12 months ago due to delays in completing its F1 car and never truly recovered as it struggled at the back of the pack all season.Williams picked up one point all season, Robert Kubica’s promoted 10th place at the German Grand Prix, which saw the team finish at the bottom of the F1 world constructors’ championship.Who else is fired up for the 2020 season? 9eW4ylMU5J— ROKiT WILLIAMS RACING (@WilliamsRacing) February 6, 2020Looking to bounce back in 2020, Williams has shown off the firing up of its FW43 through its social media channels and remains on track for the start of testing at Circuit de Catalunya on February 19.Williams has recently bulked up its technical department following 2019’s overhaul triggered by the departure of Paddy Lowe as its technical chief, with David Worner and Jonathan Carter set to join in the near future in senior design roles from Red Bull and Renault respectively.The Grove-based squad will now prepare for its digital launch of the FW43 on February 17 before heading to the Spanish Grand Prix venue for the two three-day tests before the 2020 opening race in Australia on March 15.Williams sees Nicholas Latifi replace Kubica alongside George Russell for 2020, while it has retained Jamie Chadwick and added Dan Ticktum, Roy Nissany and Jack Aitken to its junior driver development roster.VIDEO: Can Williams fight back after disaster 2019?
