Sargeant recently concluded his third season in the Formula 3 championship by finishing seventh in the 2021 standings as he amassed a total of four podiums and a victory at Sochi. The 20-year-old took two further victories in FIA F3 on his way to finishing third in the series in 2020 with Prema before making the switch to Charouz Racing System for 2021. “ad_Sargeant is eyeing a step up to Formula 2 in 2022 and Williams said his plans for next year would be announced in “due course” upon the confirmation of his addition to its driver academy on the eve of this weekend’s United States Grand Prix. “I am delighted to be joining the Williams Racing Driver Academy,” Sargeant said.“It’s a team with not only a fantastic history, but a great track record of bringing young talent into Formula 1. Last month, F2 racer Dan Ticktum confirmed he had split from the Williams F1 team. Williams CEO Jost Capito added: “I am incredibly pleased to welcome Logan to the Williams Racing Driver Academy.
