Isuzu Novo has been developed by Anadolu Isuzu’s R&D engineers and manufactured at the company’s Turkish factory. It has become the first midibus solution to be launched by a manufacturer according to the new school bus legislation. As the Novo series midibusses have been serving the country for over 10 years, its interior and exterior features have been shaped by extensive customer studies. As part of the new school bus legislation that aims to make student transportation safer, equipment like the interior and exterior security cameras, sensor-equipped seats, 3-point adjustable seat belts, vehicle tracking system, transparent windows and door safety systems have become mandatory. These equipment are offered on Isuzu Novo models under the “school package” equipment level and they are fitted onto the vehicles right at the factory.
We Focused All Our R&D onto This Vehicle Right After the Legislation”
In his statement at the Isuzu School Bus Press Launch event held at Anadolu Isuzu Factory, Anadolu Isuzu Marketing and Corporate Communication Manager Selda Çelik said: “We are introducing yet another innovation as Anadolu Isuzu. We will manufacture school busses according to the new legislation in Turkey and make successful achievements in the school bus segment in both domestic and abroad. Currently, we are the highest school bus exporting company to Europe and we are the sole brand that offers a factory production warranty in its segment. We want to maintain that reputation with the world’s safest school bus. We are certain that families, schools and old student transportation companies will want to carry children with vehicles equipped with all these features. We focused all our R&D into this vehicle right after the legislation.”

Anadolu Isuzu Sales Director Yusuf Teoman said: “Due to an unfortunate event, new laws have been legislated and the necessary amendments have been made to the Turkish school bus transportation sector. Equipped with a 190 hp Isuzu engine, the Novo can easily carry 29 people and their luggage. Its wide doors and wide corridor are some of the features that improve mobility within the vehicle. Isuzu Novo is manufactured in Turkey and it is nearly 65 percent domestic production.
Isuzu Novo is equipped with safety features like front and rear disc brakes, ABS, AEBS, ESC, LDWS and day time running lights. The vehicle ensures that both the passengers and the driver can feel safe. Thanks to its standard digital climate control and its optional radio mp3 player, electrically operated side mirrors and LCD monitor, the Novo offers the combination of technology, safety and comfort in a single vehicle.
